Incident report after hours
After a storm call-out lasting hours comes the paperwork: handwritten reports, Excel, statistics – days later, from memory.
Digitalisation for emergency services
Fire brigades, ambulance services, mountain rescue, water rescue and civil protection work highly professionally on a mission – and afterwards with paper, Excel and private WhatsApp groups. We digitalise documentation, rota, fleet, stores and communication. Usable by volunteers after a six-hour call-out.

In short
InnovationLAB GmbH from Wörgl in Tyrol digitalises emergency organisations in Austria and the border region with Germany – volunteer and company fire brigades, ambulance and medical services, mountain and water rescue, civil protection and municipalities: live incident and patient log with pre-notification to air rescue and hospital, rota and qualification management, fleet and equipment inspections, stores, transport billing, secure internal communication instead of private WhatsApp groups as well as municipal resource databases and scenario planning. Built for use by volunteers, GDPR-compliant with EU data storage.
The reality
The mission runs professionally, the administration afterwards doesn't. Free time of people who already give it for others is lost to avoidable bureaucracy – exactly when new recruits are scarce.
After a storm call-out lasting hours comes the paperwork: handwritten reports, Excel, statistics – days later, from memory.
A data protection problem, organisational chaos – and when a member leaves, information is lost.
Inspection stickers, maintenance, test intervals for breathing apparatus – in a spreadsheet one person maintains. If they're away, nobody has the overview.
What's still there, what was used at the last major incident, which equipment has expired? Usually unclear – until the next inventory.

Building blocks
Mission, organisation and emergency planning – each building block runs on its own; together they form a shared common operating picture.
For every emergency organisation
What a local fire brigade with 40 members needs is different from the interface of a district command or an ambulance service with 500 active members.
Our approach
Connects to:
No solution that creates more work than it saves. What we introduce must be usable alongside a day job – including by the next treasurer.
Connection to alerting systems, state association portals and existing software – no double entry, no forced migration.
Member data doesn't belong in private groups or folders. We solve that properly and lawfully.
Every admin hour saved is an hour more for training, missions and comradeship.
Mapped to our four phases. How we work
Which administration costs your team the most free time – documentation, fleet, stores or members?
No one-size-fits-all interface: a local fire brigade, a municipal command and an ambulance service need different things.
Connection to alerting, state association portals and existing software – no double entry.
First modules within weeks – less paper and fewer phone chains before the overall project is finished.
WhatsApp groups, unsecured storage, handwritten lists – we resolve the risks lawfully.
Commander, treasurer, secretary and section leaders actively involved.
New requirements from the state associations and new interfaces – we stay on it.
Compliance
Health data on missions, member data in the association, cooperation across organisational and national borders: we build the legal framework in from the start.
Patient and member data protected under Art. 9 GDPR, on EU servers, with roles and logs – no private WhatsApp.
Only your organisation's approved algorithms and medication lists are stored. Functions with decision support are classified under medical device law before use – decisions are made by the emergency doctor and paramedic.
Structured handover via the receiving hospital's interfaces – no handwritten notes and no media breaks.
Planning and documentation following the guidelines of Austria's national crisis and disaster protection management – for municipalities, districts and organisations.
FAQ
No. Every module can be used on its own. Many start with incident reports and fleet – usable on a phone, without an IT department.
No. We connect to existing alerting systems and dispatch centres. What we replace is private WhatsApp groups for coordination and internal information.
It shows the algorithms and medication lists your organisation has approved and checks entries for plausibility. Medical decisions are always made by emergency doctors and paramedics.
In a structured way via the receiving hospital's interfaces: vital signs, measures and suspected diagnosis arrive before the patient – the trauma bay is prepared.
Yes. A shared data format and resource overview for cross-border missions – with translation of critical incident data.
That depends on where you start – every module runs on its own. In the free initial consultation we clarify the first step and what it costs; afterwards you receive a concrete quote.
